1. When you feel stressed, slow your breathing taking long, deep breaths.

2. Don’t hide your emotions. Deal with things head on. If there is a challenge, face it and solve it, don’t let it fester and eat away at you.

3. If you are in a stressful relationship, take action by discussing it. Not talking things through is one of the major issues in modern living.

4. Cut down on caffeine, its stimulant effects will increase your stress level.

5. Hot baths, soft music and scented candles are all great at relieving stress

6. Depending upon drugs and alcohol to help you relax is just masking the issue.

7. Spend time learning to manage your time better.

8. Eat well; a balanced diet with plenty of greens is essential.

9. Be positive about life, its easy to get stressed when your glass is half empty, better to have a glass half full.

10. Concentration spans are limited, take breaks from your work every 90 minutes.

11. See the lighter side of things, its difficult to feel stressed when you are laughing.

12. Smile and be nice to others, your cheer will be infectious and change the mood of others, which in turn will reflect back to you.

13. See the good in others not the bad, we are all different and all have good points as well as bad.

14. Get more exercise. Walking at a moderate pace for 30 minutes a day is fine.
